My story Goal

I never imagined that my life would take the path it did.

As a young man, I answered the call to serve my country and went to war. During my service, I suffered a life-changing injury and lost my arm. Coming home was difficult. I had to adapt to a new way of living and learn how to overcome challenges that many people never face.

The years that followed tested my strength and determination. There were moments of frustration, loss, and uncertainty. But I refused to let my circumstances define me. Instead, I searched for something that would give me purpose and allow me to create with my own hands.

That search led me to woodworking.

What began as a way to stay busy soon became a passion. Through patience, practice, and perseverance, I learned to craft handmade wooden flags. Every piece is carefully built, sanded, stained, and finished with pride. Each flag represents not only love for our country but also the resilience of the human spirit.

As an older Black veteran, I carry a lifetime of experiences that have shaped who I am. Those experiences are reflected in every flag I create. They remind me that strength isn't measured by what you've lost, but by how you choose to move forward.

Today, my workshop is more than a place where I make wooden flags. It's a place of purpose, gratitude, and craftsmanship. Every flag I create is a reminder that even after life's greatest hardships, it is possible to build something beautiful.

Thank you for supporting my work and helping keep this story alive.
